I built this blog only a few months ago, but quite a lot has gone down since then. I want to keep these posts short so here is the zipped version. The 42 was a digital agency that became my first internship and is where I built this site, my first Rails app, my first step in learning to code. This is really just a shout out to the entire team for letting me into there lives and work. Only six months after I joined the team they merged with Firespring a much larger local company. I went with the team but ultimately only stayed on for two more months to help with the transition and to get a feel for what being a part of a company that size was like. I chose to move on but cannot ever forget my experience with the 42. While there I learned the importance of code integrity and the frustration of wanting to build things well and not just fast. I worked on how to embrace the overwhelming feeling of not knowing and just trying to be good at learning. Mostly I learned that I really love building cool stuff with a great group of people. The 42 gave me a chance and for that I am forever thank full.
